As dusk arrive, and I, as a waiter of a restobar have to go to work since we operate only during night time. Many customers mostly professionals and some are college students who just want to listen to good music and get intoxicated with liquor or alcoholic beverages visit our place.
Giving oneself time, having new friends and maybe finding a lifetime partner are one of the reasons why they sit, drink, and sometimes dance at the restobar. But the most astounding or alarming reason is looking for someone who would pay for sex or someone who seeks for sex to pay.
Through my own observation and inquires of some customers, asking this way in private, “Do you know a girl who will sell herself for pleasure or sex?” that I thought and concluded that this mode of work is on the go in my workplace. Though it is not under the management or not allowed by the restobar.
When I am asked about those, I may say, pleasure sellers whether I know someone, I usually tell those seekers that I don’t have any contact, and most often, refer them to my other co-waiters or co-employees because I know that they have their contacts. And why do my co-employees tolerate and work with the pleasure sellers? This is because of money, of course, they are given tips or say percentages of the money acquired by those flesh sellers.
As of now, almost every night, these pleasure sellers come to our place and wait for someone to pick them up. Of course, due to the length of time that I worked there, I can differentiate those normal customers than those pleasure sellers. But if you come to our place and it is your first time there, you will never think that they are engaged in such work because they pretend to be customers also, sitting, drinking, and sometimes dancing.
I cannot disgust their work; anyway, I believe that there must be justifiable reasons. And we must try to judge rationally before condemning such people.
